An interview with Dr Diana Hernandez
Today is International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year's theme is ‘Inspire Inclusion’ aiming to create a more inclusive world for women, where women feel a sense of belonging, and empowerment.
With this in mind, we are celebrating the achievements of Dr Diana Hernandez, Head of Translational Immunotherapy at the Anthony Nolan Research Institute. Diana is not only a leading figure in immunotherapy research, but also a champion for inclusion of women in the cell and gene industry. In January at Phacilitate's Advanced Therapies week, Diana took part in the Women in Advanced Therapies pre-day event. As part of this session Diana ran a roundtable on ‘Creating an Equitable and Diverse workplace’, all about inspiring inclusion within the industry.
Diana spoke to RegMedNet about her experience of the Women in Advanced Therapies session, read the full interview here.
