What you need to know

All opportunities that are available to colleagues will be shown above. Some activities will be available immediately whilst others will require you to sign up to register your interest.

You and your manager should discuss the activities which are best suited to you. It's important to think about how they fit in with your daily role and what you'd like to gain from the experience.

Many of the opportunities will take place during regular working hours and therefore won't require TOIL to be taken. If something is taking place outside of your regular working hours, it is important you discuss and agree TOIL with your line manager before you sign up to participate.

Colleagues are based across the UK and therefore not all opportunities will be easily accessible to everyone. Some activities will offer reasonable travel expenses to local colleagues, however this will be done on a role by role basis. Closer to the Cause will aim to offer as many opportunities as possible to all colleagues and will continually be developing opportunities across the country.
