We are looking for a Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator to join our Technical & Labs Support team.

Title:  Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator

Salary: £34,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)

Location: Hybrid, Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre Nottingham

• The role will be based in Nottingham physically for the next 12-18 months. After that, there will be a requirement to travel to London on occasion.

The Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator will support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing support of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) across Anthony Nolan Laboratories. The role will act as the primary support for laboratory digital systems, ensuring they continue to meet operational, quality and regulatory requirements whilst driving continuous improvement and effective use of technology across the Laboratories. Working closely with Laboratory teams, Tech and external suppliers, the postholder will identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, enhance reporting and maximise the value of laboratory systems across H&I Laboratories, the Cell Therapy Centre and future laboratory services.

For the first 12–18 months, your main focus will be implementing Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) across our Cell Therapy Centre. You’ll be hands on - help plan implementation, map requirements and configure the system with users and suppliers.

You’ll coordinate UAT, validation, and training, working with laboratory teams, quality, tech and external suppliers. After implementation, you’ll administer and support LIMS, resolve issues and help keep system changes tested, documented and controlled.

Once the LIMS is implemented, this role will support day to day use for both CTC and our H&I Laboratories, guided by laboratory needs and organisational priorities.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A relevant degree in digital systems, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Experience delivering digital projects and translating user needs into practical solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with care for documentation and testing.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to bring technical and non-technical colleagues together.

• An organised, collaborative approach and a commitment to learning laboratory workflows and quality requirements.

• Laboratory, LIMS or regulated-environment experience would be an advantage, including ISO 15189, HTA or EFI.
