We are looking for a Prospect Research Officer to join our Fundraising Team.
Title: Prospect Research Officer
Salary: £31,800 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)
Location: Hybrid, with head office in Hampstead, London
We’re entering an exciting period of growth, with a focus on significantly increasing high value income within fundraising. To support this, we’re looking for a Prospect Research Officer to join our High Value Operations Team within Fundraising.
The role reports to the Senior Prospect Research Manager and will work closely with our Corporate and Philanthropy Teams to provide them with the knowledge and insights they need to effectively raise funds for Anthony Nolan’s lifesaving work.
You’ll deliver high-quality prospect research on a range of corporates, trusts and foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. You’ll also build strong relationships across the Philanthropy and Corporate Teams to ensure they have all the information they need to secure high value income.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Deliver high-quality prospect research on corporates, trusts and foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
•Identify new potential high value supporters for the Philanthropy and Corporate Teams to approach.
•Create network maps of key Anthony Nolan supporters, as requested by the Philanthropy and Corporate Teams.
•Produce high value event biographies for Anthony Nolan events.
•Support Philanthropy and Corporate Team fundraisers in managing how they track their pipelines of supporters and potential supporters.
•Work closely with Corporate and Philanthropy Team fundraisers to understand their needs and priorities, and how prospect research can support these.
•Collaborate with members of the Data Team to help ensure effective pipeline management and reporting is available to the Corporate and Philanthropy Team.
•Work closely with colleagues to help them build an understanding of what makes a good prospect and encourage them to share information on potential prospects.
•Support Corporate and Philanthropy Team fundraisers to undertake Anthony Nolan’s high value due diligence process when required.
Essential attributes:
•Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
•Ability to organise and evaluate complex information and present it in a clear and concise format.
•Experience of working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, such as Microsoft Dynamics.
•Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
•Strong interpersonal skills, a positive and proactive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
•Ability to work independently to complete tasks and projects.
•Understanding of relevant data protection and fundraising regulatory requirements.
•Understanding of high value fundraising and the wider fundraising sector.
•Experience of conducting desk-based research using a range of sources.
•Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to produce and manage documents and spreadsheets effectively.
Desirable attributes:
•Experience of conducting prospect research in a professional environment.
•Experience of using paid or free prospect research resources, such as BoardEx, Companies House, and the Charity Commission.
•Experience of working on a high value fundraising campaign.
