Unlocking the answers inside us all
We are Anthony Nolan
Every day, we match incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people with blood cancer and blood disorders who desperately need a lifesaving transplant.
We’re a dedicated bunch, and by all working together we currently give four people a day another chance to live.
But we’re not stopping there. Driven by patients, backed by stem cell donors, and powered by science, we won’t stop until everyone who needs a transplant can find their lifesaving match and every patient who needs us can not only survive, but thrive.
Everyone working at our charity plays a vital role in our lifesaving work, from our world-class researchers and clinical specialists to our skilled colleagues working at our sites in London and Nottingham, or remotely.
To make this possible, we support each other, maintain a vibrant, inclusive work environment and put a real emphasis on learning and development.
So how can you tell if you're Anthony Nolan too?
- You’re passionate and dedicated to your work
- You’re innovative and looking for a challenge
- You want to improve and learn every day
- You’re accountable for your work and take pride in what you do
- You’re people and patient focused – you want to make a difference to people’s lives
These five values are what drive and motivate us across all of our divisions. From lab research and tissue typing, to finance, HR and legal, from patient support and logistics, to fundraising, marketing and communications… everyone has a critical role to play in our lifesaving work.
We’re incredibly proud of the people who work for us – and we’re always on the lookout for more passionate and talented individuals. If you like the idea of joining a team that gives four people the chance of life every day, check out our job listings below.

Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
At Anthony Nolan, we celebrate diversity in all its richness, and we value the invisible and visible qualities that make each member of our community who they are.
We welcome and respect individuals who bring unique voices, experiences and perspectives, recognising that this will help us to
realise our vision and purpose to unite people and science to unlock the cures,
treatments, and transplants for more patients.
We strive to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion practices in every aspect of our daily work, and to support and promote best practice for every member of our community.
We are proud of the
progress we have made, but know that meeting our commitment to equity,
diversity and inclusion is an ongoing endeavour.
Where we work
Many of our people (where roles allow) work in a hybrid way, with some time working from home and some spent collaborating onsite.
Our donor management and core management teams usually work from our head offices, in Hampstead, North West London, close to Hampstead Heath.
Our Histocompatibility Laboratory and Research Institute are located on a separate site 500 metres away, in the grounds of the Royal Free Hospital.
Since September 2008, our Cell & Gene Therapy teams have operated out of the Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre in Nottingham, while our Cord Collectors currently work across 5 hospitals in London, Manchester, and Leicester.
